I am not particularly wowed by the NBA statistical analysis on display here: http://sn.im/swjbn These analysis call for inferential statistics (e.g. is Shaq better/worse in a given situation) but the author gives no indication of the statistical significance of his results. That’s not to say the conclusions aren’t accurate, but I don’t buy that Tony Battie is a bad clutch free throw shooter, based on 57 FTA. Similarly, the TS% for Kidd’s teammates look virtually identical in the with-Kidd and without-Kidd conditions, but the author needs to do the proper stats.
